Welcome

Welcome to my website and blog PipFit K9 Fitness Training. Most of this website is in Estonian but this pages gives a brief overview of who I am and what I do.

About me

My name is Mari Valgma and I am a Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer (CPCFT) since April 2017. This title is given by Dr. Debbie (Gross) Torraca & Wizard of Paws to those that successfully graduate from the canine fitness trainer programme at the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. My background is in mechanical engineering and material science, but recently I made the life changing decision to focus fully on my passion – dog training. Since June 2017 I teach canine fitness classes at Koertekool Kratt in Estonia. At Kratt we aspire to combine physical and mental wellbeing of dogs and use only positive reinforcement training in our classes. I also run online classes on canine fitness training (only in Estonian at the moment). I’ve given multiple lectures on fitness training and physical wellbeing of our canine companions. I love teaching and lecturing 🙂 I also sell fitness equipment that is well suited for exercising dogs.

More about me and my dogs below. If you have any questions about the canine fitness training, lectures or fitness equipment then you are very welcome to contact me here:

My dogs

At home I have 2 Aussies Kino and Pipi, and a rescue puppy Mirmi. Kino is now retired but we did compete in FCI obedience and agility. In agility we reached the highest competition level with Kino. I love dog sports and had very high hopes for my second Aussie, Pipi. Unfortunately she has some serious health problems that actually led me to canine fitness training – fitness training is Pipi’s life. Mirmi is still young and we are tackling some issues resulting from poor socialization during her puppyhood, but I do hope to do agility with her in the future.

My education in dog training

I am a huge fan of Fenzi Dog Sports Academy (FDSA) and it becomes quite apparent from the courses that I’ve taken 🙂 (“gold level” – participant who can submit video homework; “silver level” – participant who can participate in discussion; “bronze level” – auditing spot)
